ДЕЙЕР, ТОМАС ГЕНРИ

Дейер, Томас Генри (Dyer, 1804—1888) — английский историк и археолог. Особенное внимание он обратил на изучение топографии и древностей Рима, Помпеи и Афин. Его сочинения: "Pompeii, its history, buildings and antiquities" (3 изд. 1875); "Life of Calvin" (1850); "History of modern Europe" (2 изд. 1877); "Ancient Rome, its vicissitudes and monuments" (2 изд. 1883); "History of the city of Rоmе" (1865); "History of the kings of Rome" (1868); "Ancient Athens, its history, topography and remains" (1873); "Imitative art" (1883) и др. Весьма много его работ помещено в "Classical Museum" и "Dictionaries of biography and geography" Смита.
